The Governor’s Marijuana Advisory Commission will host a listening tour throughout Vermont in order to provide Vermonters an opportunity for public comment on the draft reports produced by the Commission’s Subcommittees on Roadway Safety, Education and Prevention and Taxation and Regulation.
The draft reports document the findings and recommendations of the Subcommittees for review by the Commission. The listening tour is to give Vermonters the opportunity to further inform the Commission as it prepares to finalize its report and submit its recommendations to Governor Scott by December 15.
All three reports are available to the public at this time, and can be found here, as well as the links listed below.
Roadway Safety
Education and Prevention
Taxation and Regulation
Each discussion will be hosted by the Governor’s Marijuana Advisory Commission, and moderated by the Commission co-chairs, Jake Perkinson and Tom Little. The meetings will be held as forums dedicated to public comment, and guests are encouraged to review each of the reports and attend meetings with comments prepared if desired.
Printed copies of the reports will not be provided at any of the meetings. Guests are expected to provide their own copies if needed. Guests who wish to speak are asked to keep their comments brief, lasting no longer than two minutes. In the event of low turnout, guests may be afforded extended time to express their comments.
